AArgh! Blank page! Instant panic! Well, this has been incredibly frustrating, as it is not at all intuitive. I didn't even realise that I had to log in to create a Post (fancy new term for a blank page to write stuff.) I tried to save my draft, but got an error in processing message. What?? OK, now it has saved. Not too sure about revealing all this, as it may appear to make me look stupid.

How to Make Maps
"About 80% of the data [collected] in the world is related to some place on the earth's surface," says Jim Gillispie, head of the Government Publications/Maps/Law Library (GPML). Jim talks with Andrea Bartelstein about ArcGIS, mapping software that enables users to analyze geospatial data and create their own custom designed maps.
